Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions govern all roofing, waterproofing, maintenance, and repair services provided by 7:24 Roofing. By accepting a quotation, paying a deposit, or allowing work to begin, the Client agrees to these Terms.
2. Scope of Work
All work is carried out strictly according to the quotation provided.
Any additional work, variations, or unforeseen conditions will be quoted separately and must be approved before proceeding.
3. Pricing, Quotations & Payments
Quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
A deposit is required before materials are ordered or work begins.
The balance is payable immediately upon completion of work.
Late payments may incur interest charges.
Materials remain the property of 7:24 Roofing until paid in full.
4. Access to Site & Client Responsibilities
4.1 Access Requirements
The Client must provide unobstructed access to all areas required for work, including roof spaces, yards, driveways, gates, and electrical supply if needed.
4.2 Bathroom Facilities (Mandatory)
The Client must ensure that bathroom and toilet facilities are available for 7:24 Roofing staff for the full duration of the project.
If no facilities are available, temporary facilities will be provided at an additional cost.
5. Working Environment & Safety
The Client must ensure the site is safe for all personnel.
Work may be halted if unsafe conditions are identified.
7:24 Roofing is not responsible for structural issues, electrical hazards, or hidden defects not visible before work begins.
6. Guarantee Terms
6.1 Guarantee Coverage
Guarantees apply only to the specific area repaired or worked on, not the entire roof.
Guarantee duration is specified in the quotation or invoice.
6.2 Guarantee Exclusions
Guarantees do not cover:
Storm or natural disaster damage
Wear and tear
Structural movement
Pre-existing defects
Damage caused by third parties
6.3 Guarantee Automatically Voided if ANY Other Contractor Works on the Roof
If any person or company performs work on the roof after 7:24 Roofing has completed its repairs, the guarantee becomes immediately and fully void.
This includes:
Solar panel installers
Solar geyser installers
Heat pump installers
Skylight or whirlybird installers
Satellite dish technicians
Aircon installers
Handymen
Builders, electricians, plumbers
ANY contractor or individual working on or penetrating the roof
No exceptions.
7. Mandatory Notification for Other Contractors
If the Client plans to install or have installed any of the following:
Solar systems
Solar geysers
Heat pumps
Skylights
Whirlybirds
Satellite dishes
Air-conditioning units
Security systems
Any penetration or alteration to the roof
The Client must notify 7:24 Roofing beforehand.
7:24 Roofing must be present during the installation to ensure:
Work is carried out safely
Repairs previously completed are not compromised
All penetrations are correctly sealed
This site attendance is billed as an additional service.
Failure to notify 7:24 Roofing prior to other contractors working on the roof will immediately void all guarantees.
8. Materials & Workmanship
All materials are sourced from reputable suppliers.
Colour or texture variations may occur.
Roofing work may cause dust or vibration; 7:24 Roofing is not responsible for interior cosmetic cracks.
9. Weather Delays
Roofing work is dependent on weather conditions.
7:24 Roofing may suspend or delay work to ensure safety and quality.
Weather delays do not constitute a breach of contract.
10. Property Protection & Pre-Existing Damage
7:24 Roofing is not responsible for:
Existing damage prior to work
Brittle or aged roof tiles breaking under normal working conditions
Defective guttering, boards, flashings, or membranes installed by others
Reasonable precautions will be taken at all times.
11. Waste Removal
Standard waste removal is included unless stated otherwise.
Large volumes or specialised disposal may incur an additional charge.
12. Cancellations
If the Client cancels after accepting the quotation:
The deposit is non-refundable
The Client is responsible for all material costs already incurred
13. Liability Limitations
7:24 Roofing is not liable for:
Consequential or indirect damages
Damages caused by storms or natural events
Losses due to structural issues unrelated to work performed
Liability is strictly limited to the specific work area repaired.
14. Dispute Resolution
Any dispute must first be addressed directly with 7:24 Roofing.
If unresolved, the matter may be referred to an independent roofing consultant or mediator.
15. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of South Africa
